This review delves into the antioxidant and antimicrobial characteristics of honey, emphasizing its potential applications in both traditional and modern medicine. The bioactive compounds found in honey, such as phenolic acids and flavonoids, play a critical role in alleviating oxidative stress and combating infections. By synthesizing existing research, this study seeks to validate the traditional medicinal uses of honey while encouraging its exploration as a natural health product.
